Senseless Violence Leads to Silence (S.V.L.T.S) was founded in 2002 following the tragic death of Asia Bell-James and serious injury of her husband, Tyrone James – the daughter and son-in-law of founder Perlia Bell. The organization actively provides comprehensive support to survivors of gun violence through social, mental health, and financial assistance programs, helping families cope with the devastating loss of loved ones to firearm-related crimes.
In 2024, following the murder of Tyzjuan James – Perlia Bell's grandson, Asia Bell-James' son, and the youngest brother of CEO Asianique Savage – the organization was restructured as S.V.L.T.S II to expand its mission and impact.
